Mrs. Susan Wakefield, Development Associate
E-mail Mrs. Wakefield

Ms. Wakefield joined the Citizen Advocacy Center staff in 2017 to focus on building philanthropic support for CAC.

Susan previously directed the Annual Giving program of the American Bar Association.  Susan's first career assignment was an appointment by the Governor of Utah as a Utah State House Fellow, a program designed to bring persons with "leadership and commitment to public service" into state government.  As a graduate student, Susan won a national writing competition sponsored by the American Society of Public Administration, with an article entitled, “Ethics in Public Service: A Case for Individual Responsibility." She also worked as a Program Director in the offices of Liberal Education and Public Affairs at the University of Utah, and served as Director of Communications for the Northern Illinois Conference of The United Methodist Church. In addition to her non-profit work, Susan has corporate marketing experience at American Girl/Mattel and an advertising agency, Malcolm Marketing Communications. She holds a Bachelor's Degree in Political Science and an MPA degree from Brigham Young University.
