Leadership

Executive Director / Community Lawyer Jack E. Bentley

Picture

As Executive Director, Jack E. Bentley looks forward to expanding the reach of the Citizen Advocacy Center, promoting CAC's successes, identifying new stakeholders, and creating an expansive team environment throughout CAC's service area.   Jack brings enthusiasm and a spirit of innovation to the Citizen Advocacy Center in support of its mission and goals. Jack views the role of being a lawyer not only through the lens of a litigator and practitioner of law, but also through the lens of community leadership, building relationships, and proactively engaging others in addressing causes and being philanthropically active.

Jack was a legal intern with CAC in 2011. After graduating from Chicago-Kent College of Law, Jack held positions at the Cook County States Attorney's office and then at Johnson & Bell, Ltd.  Jack has held leadership positions in the Chicago Bar Association, Young Lawyers’ Section, the Lesbian and Gay Bar Association of Chicago, A Just Harvest, New Leaders Council, as well as Wicker Park Choral Singers and Grey Ghost Theater.  Now Jack has returned full circle to the Citizen Advocacy Center as its Executive Director / Community Lawyer.
