Donations to the Citizen Advocacy Center has helped us to:

• Facilitate Open Forums to discus subjects such as what to do about exorbitant heating bills or talk about public health issues with the head of the Illinois Department of Public Health;
• Coordinate our Suburban Civic Fairs;
• Implement ongoing civic training with the Citizen Training Corps and democracy workshops;
• Monitor local government for abuses of power
• Monitor the Illinois State Toll Highway Authority;
• Protect homes from a tax increment financing district or your right to petition the government without retaliation to protect open space;
• Provide first-rate community lawyering and advocacy to people throughout Chicagoland;
• Give educational speeches about the law and how to use it to have a more effective voice in the democratic process;
• Provide mentoring for hundreds of high school, college, and law students.
